Table Skirting Wholesale: Fitted Skirts for Trade Show and Buffet Tables

A tablecloth drapes over a table; a skirt wraps it like tailored clothing. Table skirting — the fitted fabric panel that hides folding-table legs from floor to tabletop — is the standard for trade show booths, buffet lines, vendor markets and hotel banquet service. It is also one of the most reliable B2B linen categories: every trade show booth, every catering company and every serious market vendor owns several, and they wear out on a schedule.

The trade show buyer is profiled in depth in our boutique trade show buying guide — the skirt is the single most visible upgrade to a 10x10 booth.

Sizing: One Number Matters — Table Length

Skirts are sized by table length, with a standard 30-in drop (floor height for a 30-in folding table):

  • 6-ft table: 21-ft circumference when skirted on all four sides (72 in × 2 + 30 in × 2 = 204 in ≈ 17 ft; allow 21 ft for pleated fullness)
  • 8-ft table: 24-27 ft for pleated styles
  • 4-ft table: 14-17 ft

Flat-panel skirts use the exact circumference; pleated styles need 1.5-2× fabric for fullness. The base table under the skirt still needs a cloth or fitted top — our rectangle tablecloth size chart covers the top piece.

Style and Fabric Picks

  1. Pleated polyester skirt — the trade show default: crisp, wrinkle-resistant after travel, machine washable. White, black and navy are the three volume colors.
  2. Flat panel with velcro strip — fastest install, common in rental fleets. The velcro gripper tape sewn to the table edge is the accessory that makes one-person setup possible.
  3. PVC-faced skirt for buffets — wipe-clean lower panels where food carts and guests graze; the same waterproof logic as our oil-proof commercial tablecloth guide. The base spec is our pvc waterproof oilproof tablecloth cut and finished as panels.
  4. Voile overlay skirt — pleated voile over a solid base for weddings and dessert tables; the fabric is the same as the pleated voile runner line, and the styling is covered in our wedding runners guide.

Who Buys, and How Often

  • Trade show exhibitors: 2-4 skirts per booth, replaced every 2-3 seasons of shows.
  • Catering and banquet companies: fleet quantities, washed weekly — durability is the whole decision. Inventory logic is in our catering linens guide.
  • Rental companies: 3-5× event volume, re-rented hundreds of times; see the event rental inventory guide.
  • Market and flea-market vendors: one black or navy skirt transforms a folding table; the vendor's full kit is in our market stall vendor guide.

Ordering Notes

Skirts are a sewn, sized product — lead times run longer than stock cloths, and color consistency across panels matters for rental fleets. Order a full fleet from one production batch. Valvive supports skirts and skirted sets from a 3-piece minimum, mix-and-match across sizes and colors, DDP to the US, with quotes returned in 1-2 days — enough to sample the pleat depth and fabric weight before committing the fleet order.
